Surviving Summer with Allergies and Theme Parks

If you have a child who has a severe allergy like we do, the simple things like summer parties and sleep overs can be quite stressful. I recently enrolled my son in a public school and advised the office staff of his peanut allergy. Wow, what an ordeal that was! I was basically told that I needed to educate him not to eat peanuts. Their other alternative was to have him eat lunch every day in the nurses office so that he would avoid any contamination from other children’s lunches.
Fortunately, while doing paperwork it was discovered that we did not live in the correct zone to attend that school. Whew! We were directed to another elementary school, and much to my relief…they were allergy friendly!! This brings me to my point. Life is hectic, even more so when you’re a parent – especially when you’re a parent of an allergic child. It is refreshing when we come across something that makes our roles as parents easier. There is a product on the market that I absolutely love, and I want to share more about it.
SafetyTat offers temporary tattoos that can be used for various purposes. If you have an allergic child, they have a tat for that! If you’re visiting a theme park during the summer months, they have tats that leave space for you to write your cell phone number. There are also tats that provide medical alert, or ones that tell others if your child has special needs.

ABC Expo coming to Las Vegas!

Welcome back from Summer! We are excited to announce that Cherished Expectations will be attending the ABC Expo September 12-16 at the Las Vegas Hilton.
